Applications are invited for IDB Prize available for both individuals and organizations. The prize aims to recognize the essential role of women in managing water resources and thereby, improving the economic and social conditions of their communities. The Prize consists of two cash awards-U.S. $ 50,000 for a woman or a group of women and U.S. $ 100,000 for an organization. 2015 Commonwealth Medical Fellowships in UK
UK Department for International Development (DFID) is inviting applications for Medical fellowships available for doctors and dentists from Developing Commonwealth Countries. These fellowships are for mid-career clinical staff to learn a new medical or dental skill, to practise the new medical or dental skill, and to network with others in the same and related specialties. Awards are tenable for between three months and six months at any approved UK University Hospital; experience suggests that a minimum of 4 months is sensible. World Citizen Talent Scholarships for Non-EEA Students
Hague University offers talent scholarships for international (Non-EEA) students. Commonwealth Shared Scholarships in UK, 2015-2016
Commonwealth Scholarship Commission in the United Kingdom (CSC) in partnership with UK universities offers Commonwealth Shared Scholarships for students from developing Commonwealth countries. Shared Scholarships are usually tenable for one-year Master’s courses only. Candidates are recruited and selected by UK host universities in the first instance. Selection criteria include: the academic merit of the candidate, as well as the likely impact of their work on the development of their home country. The EAS will close to applicants on 16 April 2015 and no further applications can be submitted after that date.
Commonwealth Academic Fellowships for Mid-Career Academics in UK, 2015
Applications are invited for Commonwealth academic fellowships available for mid-career academics from developing Commonwealth countries. These fellowships enable fellows to spend three months to network and update knowledge and skills related to their academic subject and responsibilities at any approved UK university or higher education institution. The CSC also invites alumni who held Commonwealth Scholarships for PhD to apply directly to the CSC for a Commonwealth Academic Fellowship. Chevening Scholarships for International Students, 2015
Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO) and partner organizations fund Chevening scholarships for pursuing full-time courses at postgraduate level, normally a one-year Master’s degree at any UK university. Scholarships are awarded to the citizens of a Chevening country. The programme provides full or part funding to cover the tuition fees, a living allowance at a set rate (for one individual), an economy class return airfare to the UK and additional grants to cover essential expenditure. Schlumberger Foundation Faculty for the Future Fellowships, 2015
Schlumberger Foundation is offering Faculty for the Future Fellowships to pursue PhD or postdoctoral studies in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) disciplines at leading universities abroad. Aga Khan Foundation funded International Scholarship for Master’s and PhD Students from Developing Countries to study at Abroad. Preference is given to students under 30 years of age. Half of the scholarship amount is considered as a loan, which must be reimbursed with an annual service charge of 5%. Applications for the 2014-15 academic year will be available starting January 2014.
International Students House Residential Scholarships
Applications are invited for residential scholarships for the students of developing countries. Preference will be given to postgraduate students who are studying a course that will provide skills to assist in the development of their home country. Scholarships provide free accommodation at ISH for up to a year and in exceptional circumstances up to three years. Applications should be submitted till December 31st, 2013.
2014/15 IARC Postdoctoral Fellowships for Developing Countries
The postdoctoral fellowships are offered for junior scientists who intend to pursue a career in cancer research and wish to complete their training at the IARC in Lyon, France working in a research Group. The fellowship is awarded for a period of two years. Candidates are required to have finished their doctoral degree (PhD) within five years of the closing date for application, or be in the final phase of completing their doctoral degree. Deadline for application is 31 December 2013.
INSEAD MBA ’91 June Endowed Scholarship for Students of Developing Countries, 2014
INSEAD Business School is funding Need based MBA Scholarship in France, Paris. This scholarship is awarded once in a year. Scholarship award is available for disadvantaged students from developing countries who are in financial need. The deadline for applications is 13 February for the July class (starts September) 22 August for the December class (starts January).
