Hanoi – The Embassy of Canada in Hanoi and the Consulate General of Canada in Ho Chi Minh City are pleased to announce the launch of a new, fun, and exciting educational competition titled, “Explore Canada from A to Z”.
Running from August 27, 2013, until November 30, 2013, the competition is open to all Vietnamese high school students who want to learn about, explore, and experience Canada.
President Obama calls for new rating system for US colleges
President Obama outlined a plan last week to establish a new rating system for US colleges, and announced as well his intention to eventually link federal student aid programmes to the new rating scheme.
The announcement appears to have been sparked by the Obama administration’s interest in rising college tuition fees. A White House background brief released in conjunction with the President’s speech noted:
International survey says Australia is most expensive study destination
HSBC released a study last week that looked at tuition and living costs in 13 international study destinations worldwide. The results? Australia, the survey says, is the most expensive destination (among those compared in the study) at an average cost of US $38,000 per year.
The US follows close behind with an average cost of US $35,000 and the UK appears in third place based on an average cost of US $30,000.
