Newcastle University is offering a small number of research scholarships for UK/EU students and international students. Scholarships are awarded for outstanding international students to commence PhD studies in any subject during the 2014/15 academic year. Applicants must have already applied for and been offered a place to study at Newcastle University before apply for a NUORS award. Each award (value approximately £5,000 to £9,000 per annum) covers the difference between fees for UK/EU students and international students.

Margaret McNamara Memorial Fund is offering award for women applicants of developing countries to pursue their degree in the USA and Canada. Applicants must enrolled (in residence) at an accredited U.S. or Canadian educational institution for the academic year 2013-14 and intends to be enrolled for the 2014-15 academic year. An MMMF grant covers only a portion of the total costs for an academic year. Therefore, applicants need to access other financial resources.
Application deadline is January 15, 2014.
University of St. Andrews offers International Honours Scholarships for Excellence in the fields of Economics, English, History or International Relations in the UK. The students of Scotland, England, Northern Ireland, Wales, EU can apply for these scholarships. International students can also apply. The Selection Committee seeks applicants who are gifted students with academic excellence. Successful scholars will be expected to fulfill an ambassadorial role and represent the University at a number of events and contribute to various University publications.
The application deadline is 31st March 2014.
Applications are invited for IST fellowship programme to qualified applicants from all over the world who are interested in spending the postdoctoral stage of their scientific research career at IST Austria. All applicants must have completed doctoral studies or the equivalent or anticipate the completion of their studies prior to the commencement of the position. This will fund 40 fellows for a period of two years each. All ISTFELLOW recipients will be offered full-time employment contracts at IST Austria and will receive an internationally competitive salary with full social security coverage.

Nottingham Trent University is offering international scholarships in the fields of Journalism, Media and Globalization, English Language Teaching and International Development. The scholarships are available for pursuing postgraduate degree level. Applicants must be holding an NTU offer when they apply. Applicants should not submit their scholarship application before or with the application to study at NTU. Students may apply for as many scholarships as they want but they may only be awarded one scholarship. The scholarships will cover half-fee for October 2014.
