Nacel Canada Inc.

Nacel Canada Inc., a not for profit organization and proud member of Nacel International, is dedicated to promoting international understanding and language education. Since 1957, Nacel's programs have provided young people with the opportunity to discover new things about themselves and the world around them.

Nacel's programs bring people together to enhance cultural and linguistic awareness and to promote international friendship and harmony.

Nacel's offices around the world recognize the fundamental importance of adherence to a set of values based on respect for an individual regardless of race, gender, ethnic origin and social or financial status.

Nacel Canada offers a wide range of programs within Canada and around the world.

Why chose Nacel Canada

1. Family Experience

Living with a host family is the best way to learn firsthand about another culture. The language you have been learning will come alive as you make new friends, share their culture and discover new things about yourself and your world.

Host families are carefully chosen by a local Nacel Coordinator. Hosts welcome their student as an additional member of the family and provide care and support a home away from home. The student should be prepared to take part in family life and to help with various tasks around the house (making the bed, doing dishes, etc.), as a full member of    the family. During the stay, a student may be hosted by more than one family. Becoming part of a community of families and students abroad is an enriching experience, bringing growth, self-confidence and an increased awareness of the world we share.

The personal growth and communication skills gained from an experience abroad can   make an important difference in college and in career goals.

2. Support Network

Nacel Canada Inc. offers continuous support to participants. A local Coordinator will     work with each individual student, including arranging their homestay, finding their    school and acting as contact throughout the year.

3. Tutorial Programs

To overcome the language weaknesses of Academic Program participants, we also offer a tutorial program that will better prepare the students for the upcoming experience.

Students live with host families during the tutorial, which gives them the opportunity to continue the language skills they learn during the day and also experience the family life    in the evenings.

The arrival date for the English Tutorial Program in Toronto is usually at the beginning of August. Students will depart from Toronto to final destination at the end of the Tutorial. Participants are responsible for all flights.
